Offshore Wind Academy Anti-Discrimination Policy Acknowledgment – Instructors, Developers, and Planners
Purpose
Offshore Wind Academy (OWA) is committed to ensuring that every employee has the right to work in a professional environment that promotes equal employment opportunities and strictly prohibits all forms of discrimination. This policy is designed to uphold a workplace culture grounded in respect, equity, and inclusion, and to ensure freedom from discrimination and retaliation for all individuals.
Responsibilities
OWA is committed to ensuring that all certificate program activities are conducted in a fair, transparent, and equitable manner. OWA will take all reasonable steps to ensure that employees understand these policies and that any complaints regarding violations are promptly and appropriately investigated and resolved.
This includes:
Ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, including nondiscrimination and accessibility requirements (e.g., ADA compliance)
Providing equal access to certificate programs for all qualified participants
Conducting regular reviews of policies and practices to maintain fairness, transparency, and inclusivity
Procedures
Students and other interested parties have the right to file a complaint or appeal if they believe a decision or process was not handled fairly. All submissions are reviewed promptly and objectively, and written responses are provided. To submit a complaint or appeal, please complete the C&A form below.
OWA ensures that all stakeholders have access to a formal complaints and appeals process for addressing concerns related to its certificate programs and academy operations. The process includes:
Complaints or appeals may be submitted via email at info@offshorewind-academy.com or through the online form available on the website
All complaints or appeals are acknowledged within three business days and assigned to a designated reviewer
Reviewers conduct impartial investigations, ensuring there is no conflict of interest
Written resolutions are communicated to the complainant or appellant within 15 business days
Communication and Acknowledgment
The Academy ensures that its anti-discrimination policy is communicated to and acknowledged by all relevant stakeholders, including learners, instructors, developers, and planners.
Learners
The anti-discrimination policy is made available to learners through publicly accessible Student Information resources and during the registration or enrollment process. Learners are informed of the policy prior to participation in CE/T activities. Acknowledgment of the policy is obtained through acceptance of enrollment terms or registration requirements.
Instructors, Developers, and Planners
All instructors, developers, and planners engaged by the Academy are made aware of the anti-discrimination policy as part of their onboarding and contractual engagement process. Compliance with the policy is a condition of participation in CE/T program development, planning, and delivery. Acknowledgment of the policy is obtained through contract language, addenda, or written confirmation.
Evidence of Acknowledgment
Evidence of communication and acknowledgment is maintained through enrollment acceptance records, contractual documentation, and acknowledgment forms or templates. Blank copies of acknowledgment language or templates are retained and made available for accreditation review upon request.
